Striking & Fight Conditioning
Striking is a one hour class designed to teach individuals how to perform functional movements that are a combination of boxing and martial arts.
With use of punch mitts, kick bags, boxing gloves, and other various fighting equipment, the members are coached on how to throw striking techniques with their hands and feet to built speed, power, accuracy, and coordination. Members partner up and do set drills and work together as a team. No experience is necessary, and the age range for attending the class is 14 and up. ***Due to Covid restrictions; in order to be partnered up with someone, it needs to be a friend/family member*** Please do not let this deter you from signing up as we have multiple heavy bags that can be used for single people. |
Fight conditioning is a one hour class designed to put the member through a conditioning style workout similar to what a competitive martial artist or boxer may go through without having to step into the ring and compete.
We use MMA dummy bags and gloves, and go through a series of interchanging movements using the bag based on a two minute round with a one minute rest. The movements will consist of functional fitness moves such as squatting and lifting as well as MMA style movements such as punching, kicking, and knee strikes and will rotate back and forth throughout the two minute round creating a great high intensity workout. No experience is necessary and the age range for attending the class is 14 and up. Unlike the striking class, this class uses MMA style "fingers-free" gloves in order to move the dummy bag around. |
